Simple for one, complex for another

Public calls bid require that cost estimates be submitted to them in the same way and respecting a precise structure.

Quotes and worksheets

A client asked us to help them build a system for generating quotes or bids that would allow them to comply with public system requests. So, we developed a custom application for them. They enter each element of the request into our system. Then, in their spreadsheet, each element has criteria to fill out based on materials, dimensions, deadlines, number of employees, resources, and necessary equipment. They see their cost and the selling price. The result is then transcribed to the appropriate line of the quote or bid. A complete quote or bid can represent several pages and many hours of work; the slightest oversight can result in enormous losses.

Bid management

To make matters more complicated, the calls for tenders require strict adherence to very specific dates. It is therefore necessary to manage everything very efficiently in order not to miss the deadline.

So, in addition to the application for bids, we created a system for them in which they enter all the calls for tenders that interest them.

During a call for tenders announcement, not all information is yet disclosed. The bidder must maintain an accurate schedule of the calls for tenders. They must consider the date when details will be available, the date when submissions can be submitted, the closing date, as well as the date when the bidder will be chosen.

Lots of work without warranty

In the world of public tenders, it involves multiple bidders submitting their bids on numerous projects at the same time without ever knowing if they will be selected. It was therefore essential for our client to succeed in making their quotes without errors and much more quickly.
